-Welcome each guest personally within 1 minute.
-Seats guests, presents menus to guests, informs them of specials and new items.
-Communicate with guests using clear and enthusiastic words, tone and body language at all times. Make guests feel appreciated through host/hostess' actions.
-Have complete knowledge of food and beverage preparation.
-Work as a team with all Wolf Brewing Co. personnel to maintain an effective atmosphere and an efficient food and beverage service.
-Work with others to keep all areas cleaned and stocked to Wolf Brewing Co. standards at all times.
-Takes names on a waiting list and manages the floor plan board.
-Observes tables and keeps track of clean, dirty and occupied tables.
-Takes guest information and quotes wait times to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available.
-Cleans, organizes and stocks menus at host/hostess area.
-Answers phone and questions concerning the menu and brewpub.
-Maintains restrooms throughout shift.
-Sweeps foyer and front entrance area frequently.
-Maintain specific side-work and ensure the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the brewpub.
-Ring to-go food and beverage orders and merchandise sales into POS immediately, collect money and make change.
-Be attentive. Offer assistance before the guest has to ask for it.
-Check identification of guests to ensure guests are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages. Refuse to serve beverages in a polite manner to guests who are not of legal age.
-Report to work in a neat and clean uniform. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.
-Perform other duties as directed.
-Well-paced mobility required during the entire shift.
-Ability to reach, bend, stand and stoop for long periods of time.
-Transports and carries objects up to 45 pounds frequently throughout shift.
-Strong reading, writing and verbal communication skills required.
-Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other team members.
Required Education and Experience:
-High school diploma or GED.
-Prior experience working in a restaurant.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
-Must be 21 or older.
-Must be able to pass the ServSafe Food Handler Training.
-Must be able to pass the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) Responsible Alcohol Management Program (RAMP) Server Training.
